Cancellation of XXIInd MEIS Convention on 4th and 5th June 2021
at the Secondary Horticultural School in Ostrava.

 

Dear friends,

The Czech Republic has been in a fight with Covid-19 the worst country all over the world for many weeks. From this reason I couldn’t wait more time and very grudgingly (just as Robert one year ago) I have to cancel Convention MEIS 2021.

The Situation won‘t be better in a short time and many of our foreign members will be afraid to travel to the Czech Republic.
Convention could be an opportunity for me to say goodbye to MEIS which is for me like my baby. It was born in 1997, but to establish it started before 1989.

The Board will have to solve many problems to let MEIS continue according to current status.
I’ll continue breeding Irises, especially groups IB, MTB, SIB, JI and SPEC-X.

I’m looking forward to the next collaboration. See you in better time again!
